This bill requires the establishment of a community housing waiting list within the Office of Mental Health service system. It directs providers of housing services in the Office of Mental Health system to provide the Office with a monthly list of individuals referred to, admitted to, applying for, withdrawing applications for, and denied admission to the housing programs they provide. The bill also requires community-based agencies performing assessments of individuals with documented mental illness to provide the Office with the names of those who meet the eligibility criteria for the array of funded and/or licensed housing programs. The Office must publish these waiting lists on a monthly basis and submit a detailed report on the lists to the Governor, legislative committees, and local community services boards.
