This bill requires businesses seeking to perform state contracts to disclose any federal, state, or local labor or employment law violations they have committed in the previous two years. State agencies will evaluate the seriousness of any reported violations and may disqualify businesses from pursuing the contract if the violations represent a significant threat to employee health and safety or demonstrate a disregard for the law. The term "state agency" is defined to include any principal department in the executive branch, as well as any division, board, bureau, office, commission, or other instrumentality within or created by such departments, and any independent state authority, commission, instrumentality, or agency.
