This bill aims to mitigate the harmful effects of single-use products on Vermont's municipalities and natural resources, and relieve the pressure on landfills to manage the disposition of such products. The bill also creates a working group to evaluate current state and municipal policies for managing single-use products and recommend ways to reduce their use, environmental impact, and diversion from landfills.
