This bill removes references to "gravity knives" as a dangerous weapon from certain provisions of the New York Penal Law related to firearms and other dangerous weapons. Specifically, it removes gravity knives from the definition of "deadly weapon," "automatic knife," and the list of prohibited items that are presumptive evidence of possession when found in an automobile. The bill also removes the exception for possession of gravity knives when used for hunting, trapping, or fishing.
