Bill Summary

To authorize the conveyance by lease or easement and change of use of conservation land in the town of Groton

AI Summary

This bill authorizes the town of Groton to transfer a 0.34-acre parcel of conservation land to the board of selectmen, who may then convey it by lease or easement to Reedy Meadow Estates Trust for the purpose of providing stormwater drainage for a residential development. In exchange, the board of selectmen must acquire and dedicate for conservation purposes a 0.24-acre property in Pepperell and a 0.14-acre conservation restriction in Groton, for a total of 0.38 acres. The bill also allows the board to return any portion of the original 0.34-acre parcel that is not used for stormwater drainage to the conservation commission.
