Bill Summary

Authorizing the town of Swansea to grant additional alcoholic beverage licenses

AI Summary

This bill authorizes the town of Swansea to grant up to 6 additional licenses for the sale of all alcoholic beverages to be consumed on the premises within the Swansea Mall Redevelopment Area, known as the Business B District. The licenses are restricted to establishments located in the specified area along Route 6 and Route 118 and can only be exercised in the dining room or other public areas deemed reasonable by the licensing authority. The licenses cannot be transferred outside of the Business B District, but can be granted to new applicants within the district if certain requirements are met. The licenses must be issued within 3 years of the bill's effective date, but a license that is terminated or no longer in use can be granted to a new applicant thereafter.
