This bill, the Drug-Free Communities Pandemic Relief Act, provides the Administrator of the Drug-Free Communities Support Program with the authority to waive the federal fund limitation for the program. Specifically, if the Administrator determines that an eligible coalition is unable to raise the required non-federal funds due to the COVID-19 public health emergency, the Administrator can provide the coalition with a grant or renewal grant that exceeds the usual non-federal fund matching requirements. However, the total grant amount cannot exceed the initially agreed upon federal funding level.
