This bill enacts the "Manufacturer Disclosure and Transparency Act," which requires prescription drug manufacturers to notify the Attorney General of any arrangements between pharmaceutical manufacturers that result in the delay of introducing generic medications into the market. The bill requires manufacturers to disclose details such as the brand name drug, its wholesale price, the disease it treats, the name of the generic manufacturer, and the length of the delay. The Attorney General is then required to share this information with the state's Drug Utilization Review Board, Medicaid managed care plans, health carriers, and pharmacy benefits managers. The bill also authorizes the Attorney General to fine manufacturers for failing to properly notify as required.
