This bill modifies certain rules for operating all-terrain vehicles (ATVs) on public roads in Minnesota. It allows statutory or home rule charter cities and towns to pass ordinances permitting ATV operation on trunk highway segments within their jurisdiction that have a speed limit of 30 miles per hour or less. The bill also amends existing laws regarding ATV operation on the roadway, shoulder, or banks of public roads, including allowing ATVs to be used for agricultural purposes and certain utility and pipeline work.
