This bill restricts level two and three sex offenders from residing within 1,500 feet of their victims. It makes it unlawful for such offenders to knowingly reside within this distance, and the restriction remains in effect for as long as the offender is classified at that level. The bill provides an affirmative defense if the victim established residence within 1,500 feet of the offender after the offense, and it prohibits the disclosure of a victim's address to the offender. Violations of the residence restriction are punishable as a class E felony.
