This bill amends the Social Services Law to provide presumptive Medicaid eligibility for youth who have been placed in court-ordered placements under the Family Court Act. The bill establishes that such youth will be presumed eligible for Medicaid upon their release from placement, and this presumptive eligibility will continue until they are officially determined eligible for Medicaid or for 60 days, whichever comes first. The bill also specifies that any Medicaid-covered services provided to these youth during the presumptive eligibility period will be considered Medicaid-reimbursable.
