This bill requires the establishment of a community housing waiting list for adults seeking housing services in the Office of Mental Health (OMH) service system. The bill directs each provider of housing services in the OMH system to provide the OMH with a monthly list of individuals referred to, admitted to, applying for, withdrawing an application for, and denied admission to their housing programs. The community-based agency performing assessments of individuals with a documented mental illness must also provide the OMH with the names of those who meet the eligibility criteria for OMH-funded or licensed housing programs. The OMH must then publish these waiting lists on a monthly basis and submit a report to the governor, state legislature, and local community services boards on the status of the waiting list and the state's efforts to reduce its length.
