AN ACT To amend Part 15 of Article 6 of Chapter 2 of Title 20 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to miscellaneous provisions regarding the "Quality Basic Education Act," so as to provide for scheduled recess periods of 30 minutes each school day for students in kindergarten through grade eight; to provide that recess periods shall be considered instructional time to avoid lengthening the school day; to provide that recess periods shall not be withheld from students for disciplinary purposes; to provide for policies of local boards; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.
