This bill amends the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes to expand the offense of aggravated assault. Specifically, it adds "an employee of an agency, company or other entity engaged in public transportation" to the list of protected individuals, such as law enforcement officers and other public officials, against whom aggravated assault is a more serious felony of the first degree. The bill also makes other minor changes to the language of the aggravated assault statute.
