The audit will examine current inspection procedures, identify any weaknesses, assess the implementation of past recommendations from the Illegal Fireworks Task Force and the Legislative Reference Bureau, and propose changes, including potential new laws, to reduce the flow of illegal fireworks into the state, with a report due to the Legislature before the 2023 session.
