This bill requires Medicaid managed care organizations (MCOs) to reimburse durable medical equipment (DME) and complex rehabilitation technology (CRT) providers at no less than 100% of the state's Medicaid DME and CRT fee schedule for the same services and supplies. This is intended to provide parity for DME providers, who have previously been reimbursed at lower rates by MCOs compared to the state's Medicaid fee schedule. The bill specifies that these amendments to the Social Services Law will take effect 90 days after becoming law, but will be repealed when the underlying section is repealed.
