This bill amends Title 34 (Game) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated Statutes to further provide for jurisdiction and penalties, as well as for the offense of unlawful taking and possession of protected birds, including bald and golden eagles, and for endangered or threatened species. The bill establishes a new summary offense with a minimum fine of $2,000 for violations involving the killing of a bald or golden eagle, and increases the grading of penalties for violations that result in the killing of a protected bird listed in the Bald and Golden Eagle Protection Act.
