This Concurrent Resolution urges the Department of Transportation to speed up repairs on the Maipalaoa Bridge in Maili, Oahu, and to improve traffic signal management along the Waianae Coast by connecting them to the Joint Traffic Management Center, which is a system that helps control traffic flow and respond to incidents. It also calls for additional resources to maintain these traffic signals and sensors. Furthermore, it encourages various government agencies and private entities to collaborate on permanently opening a section of the Waianae Coast Emergency Access Road System, specifically the part of the road that extends from Paakea Road to Lualualei Naval Road, to serve as a permanent alternative route for the Waianae Coast, which is currently heavily impacted by traffic congestion and frequent disruptions on its main highway, Farrington Highway.
