This bill amends the Civil Service Law to allow the implementation of body cameras on police officers, despite any binding arbitration agreements that may exist. Specifically, the bill states that any agreement or arbitration award that would authorize an increase in pay or expanded duty pay for police officers in recognition of the additional duties and responsibilities associated with body-worn cameras shall be invalid and not subject to binding arbitration.
