This bill, the Treating Tribes and Counties as Good Neighbors Act, amends the Agricultural Act of 2014 to modify the treatment of revenue from timber sale contracts and certain payments made by counties to the Secretary of Agriculture and the Secretary of the Interior under good neighbor agreements. The key provisions of the bill include: 1) allowing Indian tribes, in addition to Governors, to enter into good neighbor agreements; 2) allowing counties, in addition to Governors and Indian tribes, to retain and use funds received from the sale of timber under good neighbor agreements; and 3) applying the amendments retroactively to any project initiated under a good neighbor agreement after the passage of the Agriculture Improvement Act of 2018.
