This bill establishes the Supply Chain Resiliency and Crisis Response Office in the Department of Commerce to carry out the Critical Supply Chain Resilience Program. The Office's mission is to promote the leadership of the United States with respect to critical industries and supply chains that strengthen national and economic security, encourage partnerships and collaboration, support the development and competitiveness of critical industries and domestic manufacturers, prepare for and respond to supply chain shocks, support job creation in manufacturing, and encourage growth in economically distressed areas and communities of color. The bill authorizes grants, loans, and loan guarantees to eligible entities, such as domestic manufacturers and enterprises, to support various activities related to supply chain resilience, including the development, diversification, and expansion of domestic manufacturing capabilities for critical goods and services, industrial equipment, and manufacturing technology.
