Bill Summary
This bill removes the requirement for a disability plate or placard issued to a person with a permanent disability to expire with the applicant's driver's license or nondriver identification card issued by the State and provides that the disability plate or placard may be renewed for a period not to exceed 6 years. It authorizes the Secretary of State to adopt routine technical rules regarding the issuance and renewal of disability plates or placards issued to persons with a permanent disability. This bill also removes the exemption from the fee for the issuance or renewal of a recycler license for a new car dealer, used car dealer or equipment dealer.
