This bill prohibits public institutions of higher education in New Jersey from increasing the tuition of resident undergraduate students for four continuous academic years following their initial enrollment, or for the number of academic years required to complete an undergraduate program if it regularly takes more than four years. The bill will take effect immediately and apply to students who initially enroll in public institutions of higher education in the academic year following the date of enactment.
