AN ACT to amend the education law, in relation to requiring same-day notification of a parent or person in parental relation of a student with a disability where certain behavioral interventions are used

This bill amends the Education Law to require school districts to develop a procedure to notify the parent or person in parental relation of a student with a disability on the same day that the student is physically or mechanically restrained or placed in a time-out room.
