This bill eliminates the requirement that a charter school applicant resubmit a charter application after agreeing to certain modifications. Instead, the bill gives the Board of Regents final approval authority over all proposed and renewed charter schools. The bill states that no resubmitted proposed charter shall be approved by the charter entity unless all recommendations of the Board of Regents are made to the Board's satisfaction, and the charter shall not be approved if the Board recommends that it be abandoned.
