This bill appropriates $25 million from the bond proceeds fund for water and sewer infrastructure improvements in the cities of New Auburn and Silver Lake. It provides $10 million in grant funding for New Auburn to construct a new water treatment facility, upgrade the wastewater treatment system, and improve the storm water collection system. It also provides $15 million in grant funding for Silver Lake to construct a new water treatment facility, upgrade the wastewater treatment system, replace an obsolete water tower, and improve the storm water collection system. The bill also authorizes the Commissioner of Management and Budget to sell and issue state bonds up to $25 million to provide the funding for these infrastructure projects.
