This bill amends the definition of "preschool budget enrollment" in the statewide preschool program to provide higher funding percentages for school districts based on the number of hours of instruction provided per week. Specifically, districts offering 10-14 hours per week will receive 50% of actual enrollment, districts offering 14-18 hours per week will receive 60%, and districts offering 18 or more hours per week will receive 70%. The bill takes effect on January 1, 2023, and applies to school budget years beginning on or after July 1, 2023.
