This bill, the Keep STEM Talent Act of 2022, proposes to provide lawful permanent resident status for certain advanced STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) degree holders. Specifically, it would exempt from numerical limitations on permanent residency aliens who have earned a master's or higher degree in a STEM field from a U.S. institution of higher education, have a job offer or employment in a related field at a wage above the median, and are admissible through an approved labor certification.
