This bill authorizes the town of Clinton to grant an additional license for the sale of all alcoholic beverages that are not to be consumed on the premises. The license can be granted to Ranna, Inc. located at 220 High Street, and it is subject to all the provisions of Chapter 138 of the Massachusetts General Laws, except for the limitation on the number of licenses in Section 17. The license cannot be transferred to a different location, but it can be granted to a new applicant at the same location if the applicant provides letters from the Department of Revenue and the Department of Unemployment Assistance indicating that the license is in good standing and all applicable taxes, fees, and contributions have been paid. If the license is terminated, not renewed, or no longer in use, it must be returned to the licensing authority, which can then grant the license to a new applicant at the same location within three years. The license must be issued within one year of the effective date of the act.
