Relative to the scheduling of employees
AI Summary
This bill proposes to amend the General Laws of Massachusetts to regulate the scheduling of employees. It requires employers in retail, hospitality, and food service establishments with 50 or more employees worldwide to provide employees with a good faith estimate of their work schedule upon hiring and prohibits employers from scheduling employees to work shifts with less than 10 hours between the end of the previous shift or during the 10 hours following a shift that spanned two days. The bill also requires employers to pay employees for at least three hours of work if the employee reports for duty but is not provided the expected hours of work.
