This bill, the Kimberly Vaughan Firearm Safe Storage Act, aims to promote safe firearm storage practices in the United States. The key provisions of the bill are: 1. It requires the Attorney General to establish voluntary best practices for safe firearm storage in various settings, such as businesses, vehicles, private homes, and off-site storage facilities, and to publish and update these best practices annually. 2. It mandates that licensed firearms manufacturers and importers provide a written notice with each handgun, rifle, or shotgun they sell, stating "SAFE STORAGE SAVES LIVES" and directing the buyer to the Attorney General's website for the established best practices. 3. It expands the existing federal requirement for safe storage devices to be provided with all firearm sales, including not just handguns but also rifles and shotguns. 4. It creates a grant program for the Attorney General to award funds to states and Native American tribes to develop, implement, and evaluate "Safe Firearm Storage Assistance Programs" aimed at acquiring and distributing safe storage devices to the public. 5.
