This bill requires the New Jersey FamilyCare program to reimburse claims for covered services submitted by licensed clinical social workers, professional counselors, and marriage and family therapists, provided certain conditions are met. It also expands eligibility for reimbursable services under NJ FamilyCare to include those provided by licensed social workers, associate counselors, and associate marriage and family therapists, as long as the claims are submitted by their supervising licensed practitioners who are approved providers under the NJ FamilyCare program. The bill also directs the Commissioner of Human Services to apply for necessary state plan amendments or waivers and to adopt rules and regulations to implement the provisions of the act.
