This bill authorizes the town of Milford to grant an additional license for the sale of all alcoholic beverages not to be consumed on the premises. The license will be granted to CT MARKET BW, LLC d/b/a Central Market located at 64 Central Street in Milford. The license is subject to the provisions of Chapter 138 of the General Laws, except for Section 17 which restricts the number of licenses that can be granted. The licensing authority cannot approve the transfer of the license to another location, but can grant a new license to a new applicant at the same location if the applicant is in good standing with the Department of Revenue and the Department of Unemployment Assistance. If the license is terminated, not renewed, or no longer in use, it must be returned to the licensing authority, which can then grant it to a new applicant at the same location within 3 years. The license must be issued within 1 year of the effective date of the act.
