This bill establishes the Office of Global Competition Analysis, which will analyze U.S. leadership in critical technology and innovation sectors compared to strategic competitors. The Office will gather and prepare data, conduct short- and long-term analysis on U.S. policies and competitiveness, and engage with the private sector. The priorities of the Office will be determined periodically by the Director of the Office of Science and Technology Policy, the National Economic Council, and the National Security Council. The Office can access information from federal agencies and obtain commercially available data. The bill authorizes $20 million in funding for the Office in fiscal year 2023.
