This bill allows for the issuance of two-year temporary courtesy licenses for nonresident military spouses in certain professions. Specifically, it requires professional boards to issue licenses to these spouses if they meet certain requirements, such as holding a current license in another jurisdiction with equivalent licensure requirements and having actively practiced their profession for at least two of the previous five years. The bill also allows the boards to require additional training, testing, or education if deemed necessary. The temporary courtesy licenses issued by the State Board of Applied Behavior Analyst Examiners, State Board of Marriage and Family Therapy Examiners, New Jersey Board of Nursing, Occupational Therapy Advisory Council, State Board of Psychological Examiners, and State Board of Social Work Examiners are valid for two years, with the possibility of a one-year extension.
