This bill allows for the issuance of two-year temporary courtesy licenses for nonresident military spouses in certain professions, such as applied behavior analysis, marriage and family therapy, nursing, occupational therapy, psychology, social work, and audiology and speech-language pathology. To be eligible, the nonresident military spouse must hold a current license in another jurisdiction with equivalent licensure requirements, have at least two years of active practice experience, and meet other criteria set by the respective professional boards. The temporary courtesy licenses can be extended for an additional year at the board's discretion, except for the specified professions, where the licenses are valid for two years with a possible one-year extension.
