An Act relating to school security; making appropriation to the Oklahoma Department of Emergency Management for certain purpose; directing certain percentage of funds to be used for certain purposes; amending 74 O.S. 2021, Section 51.2b, as amended by Section 5, Chapter 302, O.S.L. 2022 (74 O.S. Supp. 2022, Section 51.2b), which relates to the Oklahoma School Security Grant Program Act; providing eligibility criteria for grant awards; directing annual report to include certain information; providing for noncodification; providing an effective date; and declaring an emergency. AUTHOR: Add the following House Coauthors: Dollens, Wallace, McDugle, Hasenbeck, Baker, Fugate, Provenzano, and Boles AMENDMENT NO. 1. Strike the title, enacting clause, and entire bill and insert: "An Act relating to school security; creating the School Resource Officer Grant Program; directing State Department of Education to administer program; providing for program purpose; establishing program qualifications; providing duties for program school resource officers; requiring completion of certain law enforcement training; defining term; providing for codification; providing an effective date; and declaring an emergency.
