AI Summary
This bill amends the Education Law to require school districts to provide mental health services for all students, in addition to the existing requirement to provide school health services. The mental health services must include the employment of certified school psychologists and licensed or certified school social workers, who will perform duties such as evaluations, screenings, assessments, and interventions to address the mental health needs of students. These mental health professionals are required to be provided in addition to personnel necessary to implement the federal Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA).
