AI Summary

This bill requires each county board of education to annually prepare and post a report identifying pathways that public school students can use to travel to school using only safe alternative routes, such as roads with sidewalks and crosswalks, foot paths, and bike paths. The governing body of each county must then review this report and construct any necessary sidewalks and crosswalks to create safe alternative routes for students. If the county needs to alter a road that is not under its jurisdiction, it must develop a plan with the responsible governmental entity and take reasonable efforts to execute that plan expeditiously.
