This bill amends the Public Officers Law to provide press access to open meetings of state agencies or authorities, except for executive sessions. It defines "professional journalist" and requires agencies to provide public notice of such meetings to the news media and local governments at least 96 hours (or four business days) in advance. The bill also requires agencies to post a draft agenda for public meetings on their website 24 hours prior to the meeting.
