This bill amends Minnesota Statutes to allow all resident home school students, in compliance with state educational requirements, to fully participate in extracurricular activities on the same basis as public school students. Extracurricular activities are defined as those not offered for school credit or required for graduation, generally conducted outside of school hours, and with content determined primarily by the student participants under the guidance of a staff member or other adult. The costs of these activities may be provided from school revenues, and districts must reserve and spend revenue raised for extracurricular activities only on those activities.
