This bill amends existing Oklahoma statutes related to electioneering and activities allowed near polling places and in-person absentee voting sites. It modifies the prohibited activities by defining "electioneering" to include advocating for or against candidates or ballot measures, as well as collecting signatures for future ballot measures. The bill also specifies the "election enclosure" where certain activities are prohibited. Additionally, it updates the language regarding who is authorized to be within 50 feet of a polling place or voting site entrance while an election is in progress. The bill will become effective on November 1, 2023.
