This bill requires the State Election Board to update the system used for ballots in elections in Oklahoma. The key provisions are: 1) All ballots must have a unique identifier number or code printed in at least two locations, with a perforated section that the voter can tear off to keep as a way to identify their ballot; 2) All ballots must be digitized and made available to the public on a publicly accessible website within 30 days of each election, where they can be searched by the unique identifier and maintained for at least 2 years; and 3) The Secretary of the State Election Board must promulgate rules for implementing these requirements. The bill will become effective on January 1, 2024.
