AN ACT to amend the penal law, in relation to aggravated harassment of an employee by an incarcerated individual
AI Summary
This bill amends the Penal Law to eliminate the requirement that an incarcerated individual causes or attempts to cause an employee to come into contact with certain bodily fluids or materials by throwing, tossing, or expelling such substances in order to be charged with aggravated harassment of an employee. The bill retains the existing provision that makes it a class E felony for an incarcerated individual to intentionally harass, annoy, threaten, or alarm an employee by causing or attempting to cause them to come into contact with blood, seminal fluid, urine, feces, or saliva.
