This bill amends the New York City Building Code to require the Commissioner to inspect construction sites and review documentation before renewing a sidewalk shed permit. The bill defines an "ongoing construction project" as one where the sidewalk shed is utilized at least 10 days per month over the year preceding the permit renewal request. The bill also imposes a civil penalty of up to $1,000 on contractors or licensees who submit false or misleading documentation in support of a permit renewal.
