This bill amends the Transportation Law and the Executive Law to require the development of a scannable code that, when scanned with a smartphone or similar device, opens an internet link displaying the content of work zone signs and truss type construction signs in the most commonly spoken language other than English and Spanish within a 10-mile radius of the user's location. The bill also mandates that work zone signs and truss type construction signs be printed in both English and Spanish, and contain the scannable code, beginning one year after the effective date of the bill.
