This bill requires the Maryland Department of the Environment to establish a system to track the chain of custody of synthetic turf installed on sports and playing fields in the state. The bill defines key terms like "custodian" (the owner or person in control of the synthetic turf) and "producer" (the manufacturer or importer of the synthetic turf). It requires custodians to report information about the synthetic turf, such as its location, producer, installation date, and weight, to the Department. The Department is tasked with maintaining this chain of custody information and making it publicly available on a website.
