AN ACT concerning Health Occupations - Licensed Direct-Entry Midwives - Previous Cesarean Section FOR the purpose of allowing a licensed direct-entry midwife to assume or take responsibility for a client who had a previous cesarean section and regulating the circumstances under which the responsibility may be assumed or taken; altering the required contents of a certain informed consent agreement; requiring the State Board of Nursing, in consultation with certain stakeholders, to develop a transport protocol for clients who had a previous cesarean section; and generally relating to the practice of licensed direct-entry midwifery and cesarean sections. BY repealing and reenacting, with amendments, Article - Health Occupations Section 8-6C-03(11), 8-6C-04(a)(20) and (21), and 8-6C-09 Annotated Code of Maryland (2021 Replacement Volume and 2022 Supplement) BY adding to Article - Health Occupations Section 8-6C-04(a)(22) and (e) Annotated Code of Maryland (2021 Replacement Volume and 2022 Supplement) Underlining indicates amendments to bill.
