This bill amends the Public Officers Law to require agencies to disclose law enforcement disciplinary records, even if the records involve complaints or allegations that did not result in disciplinary action, were compiled for law enforcement purposes, or were previously designated as confidential. The bill also requires agencies to disclose the name or other personal identifying information of a person included in a law enforcement disciplinary record where that person is alleged to have been the victim of sexual misconduct, which is broadly defined to include various forms of sexual harassment, assault, and inappropriate conduct by law enforcement officers.
