This bill amends certain requirements for the installation of electric vehicle supply equipment (EVSE) and Make-Ready parking spaces. It requires developers or owners of new or reconstructed multiple dwellings with five or more units to prepare at least 15% of the required parking spaces as Make-Ready spaces, with EVSE installed in at least one-third of those spaces initially, and the remaining two-thirds installed within six years. For other parking lots or garages, the bill sets minimum requirements for the installation of Make-Ready spaces based on the total number of parking spaces. The bill also allows parking spaces with EVSE to be counted towards the total required parking, and directs the Site Improvement Advisory Board and the State Uniform Construction Code to incorporate these requirements.
